As an attorney for more than 25 years, Brian Kennedy founded his law practice after working for several years as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, and also the Office of Special Narcotics in Manhattan. In that role, Mr. Kennedy dealt with the most serious drug cases and narcotics investigations, as well as violent crimes. He prosecuted several thousands of criminal cases, brought hundreds of indictments, and took many of those cases to trial and verdict.

Since then, Mr. Kennedy has served as defense counsel in thousands of criminal cases, and also took many of those cases to trial and verdict. In addition, Mr. Kennedy has represented customers against almost all the big investment firms and brokers for trading abuses including fraud, unauthorized trading, unapproved trading, unsuitable investments, churning, and other claims. Furthermore, Mr. Kennedy has represented traders, brokers, and other securities industry professionals who were unfairly fired, denied their bonus and other compensation, or want their U-4/U-5 record expunged. He has appeared before arbitration forums including FINRA, NASD, NYSE, NFA, and AAA.

This past year, Mr. Kennedy was admitted to the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands, and selected for its List of Counsel for the defense and for victims, dealing with the most serious matters of international concern, such as war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Mr. Kennedy has appeared in TV newscasts, radio, and newspapers, and is active in Bar associations including the International Criminal Court Bar Association, serving on its Defense Committee and also its Victims Committee, and the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers' Association.

During his varied legal career, Mr. Kennedy worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and earned a top secret security clearance. He also worked as in-house counsel to one of the largest private restaurant development companies in the U.S. Apart from the law, Mr. Kennedy was a trader with his own seat on the floor of the commodities futures exchange in the former World Trade Center.
